Good Evening po Madam President. Tanong ko lang po kong may karapatan ba ang isang Municipal COMELEC Officer na palitan o itago ang personal data ng isang registered voter sa kanyang voter's registration record. Diba po ba, kong magregister tayo as a registered voter is, we base our birth date in our birth certificate? Ngayon po, sa aming Municipal po (CALANASAN, APAYAO PROVINCE), if we request for a copy of our voter's registration/affidavit, iba na po ang birth date or nagkabalikbaliktad po ang mga spelling ng mga pangalan. If you ask the COMELEC Officer, sabi naman po, he is basing from his record book which he refused to show to the people complaining and even ignore them when they want to show him their birth certificate copy and rather leave them in his office. Kasi po ang voter's affidavit ay isa po sa mga requirements in applying a passport especially to those who want to go abroad. He have done this many times but nobody dare to complain, kasi natatakot po yata sila. Ngayon po, kong ngasasabi man ng totoo itong COMELEC Officer, bakit ayaw nyang ipakita ang kanyang registration record book sa mga tao? Sana po, if they are doing it intentionally, just to stop people to apply abroad and not wanting to help them, hindi naman po sana ganito.

Dear Fellow Citizens:
I am writing to let you know that it's high time Winston Garcia is fired from the GSIS for he is running the GSIS, a service agency, to the ground with his Gestapo-like tactics in implementing the failed eCard program. You may think he is no Gestapo, but he acts like one because of the deleterious effects of its implemention. He is ruining people's lives since pensioners are not getting the money the government owes them. The GSIS, which is tasked to promote the well being of pensioners through the state pension fund, is doing exactly the opposite -- and to do it to the pensioners in their twilight years is plain and simple criminal if not immoral. Attached is a blog devoted to this issue. It started with the untimigated disaster that occurred in New York City last March 9. THE TOTAL MELTDOWN WAS WITNESSED BY A NUMBER OF AMERICANS WANTING TO INVEST IN THE PHILIPPINES AND ARE NOW HAVING SERIOUS DOUBTS. If this could happen to pensioners in the U.S., how much horror must their local counterparts be experiencing? I did some research on the Internet, and I have had enough of Garcia's lame excuses. He is destroying people's lives, and IT IS TIME FOR GARCIA TO GO. Attached is a blog devoted to GSIS incomptence. Please share with as many people as you can until Garcia resigns. http://pierceram2.blogspot.com/ Please pass this on to as many people as you can to create a groundswell for his exit from the GSIS. Pressure must be brought to bear upon Macapagal Arroyo to make her realize that it will be politically expensive for her to keep supporting Garcia.

Dear Sir,
Good day. This is Danton Remoto, chairman of Ang Ladlad LGBT party. I read the front-page story of Malaya regarding the alleged party list group affiliated with Chairman Abalos. I view this with great concern because we have a pending application for accreditation with Comelec. The only thing we wish for is fair treatment from Comelec regarding the accreditation of real, marginalized groups. In the last four months since we filed our papers with Comelec, I only went there when summoned by the 2nd division. I have not gone there unless officially invited, unlike other party-list groups (cf: Agham party list head former UP President Emil Javier, in a Malaya front page story last week). Could you advise me what to do aside from wringing my hands in private about all of these? Many thanks, and congratulations on your blog. EVERY ELECTION the problem of orderliness, discipline and lack tactfulness is almost intentionally done every elections....
As we try to make preparations and plans for a clean and honest electtions,.. orderliness, discipline and tactfulness is again overlook... this have to start to pipol who will implement the election process... 1sr chaos - teachers should be not late in the opening of their precint, at this early prepartions should be made to avoid delays... in the posting of precints, the 2nd stage of chaos, lack of orderliness, again in the experience in the elections a simple posting of names be readily be available for viewing in advance from the date of election, a duplicate copy be posted in the hallway for better viewing away from precints or online computer to check lack of discipline are reactions to the very poor performance at the initial stages of elections.... with all the reasons present in the elections, there is no surprse to the possibilties of cheating... we all know what to do... but can it be implemented |

Here's one additional Idea, I have taken from our own Election Canada rule.
IDEA: For every district or constituency, the responsibility for conducting and enforcing Election Lwas should rest only in one Person (any title will do). That way acountability is clearly transparent and there is also a law specific to violation of any election code and be clasified as criminal and be treated as such. And should be a police matter. And the law should apply equally to all-electoral official, candidate and voter.

vic here, a regular commentator at MLQ and Ellen and (naykika) at pcij. just got into your site and I hope that I can somehow impart the beauty of Democracy as we the voters can make it. I'm a dreamer and one of them is to see the country where I spent the first 2 decades and half of my life will someday enjoy a "truly" democratic society as I have enjoyed the later 3 decades of my life.
and it starts with a free and clean election.. thank you
